Why it is the one the JV material singles out
Because production is what defeats people in month two. The method needs consistent output for months, and the usual reason people stop is not that the mechanism failed — it is that making the content stopped fitting into the evening.
A demonstration of that problem being compressed is therefore aimed at the actual constraint.
