Mark Ling, reviewed by the record
Reviewing a person is usually opinion. Reviewing a twenty-six year record can be done with dates, and dates are what this desk deals in, so that is the version below.
What is on the record
1999. First affiliate commission, from a banner ad on a Britney Spears fan page pointing at a dating site. An oddly specific origin story, and specific is generally a good sign because it is checkable in a way "started making money online" is not.
2006. Teaching begins, after several years of running the business itself rather than selling courses about it. That ordering is worth noting: the record starts with the work and adds the teaching, not the other way round.
Late 2000s onward. Affilorama and Traffic Travis, one a training platform and one a piece of software. Both public, both long-running, both still searched for.
2022-2026. An annual September launch, five consecutive years, same name.
The figure everyone quotes, read carefully
ClickBank has confirmed in writing that students of past programmes generated over $400 million in sales through that network. Students' aggregate sales. One network. Many years. Not his income, not typical, and not a projection for anybody reading it.
Stated accurately it is a strong data point, because a payment network has no reason to confirm a number it cannot support. Stated loosely it becomes an earnings claim, which it is not, and which this desk will not repeat as one.
What the record establishes
That the seller will be contactable after the cart closes on 24 September 2026, 11:59pm Pacific. That the refund terms belong to a business with something to lose. That the product will exist as described.
What it does not establish
Whether this year's method works for you. A long record is a floor and treating it as a ceiling is how people talk themselves into purchases nobody mis-sold them. The legitimacy question is handled separately.
The recurring criticisms, logged
"It is always a launch." Correct, and it is the neutral fact people read as damning. A dated window with a published close is more honest than an evergreen funnel with a countdown that resets when you reload the page. What a launch costs the buyer is the pressure of a deadline; what it costs the seller is having to do it again in front of the same audience next year.
"The free event is a sales event." Also correct, and published as such. The offer comes at the end of the run rather than being hidden, and the teaching is front-loaded. The structure is logged here.
"The price is high." $2,497, or the payment plan. That is a judgement rather than a fact, and it is the one thing on this page nobody else can settle for you. The published figures are here.
The check that costs nothing
The four sessions on 14 and 15 September are free and they test the teaching directly, which is more than any record can do. Registration details here, converted times here.
