Why no session on this schedule is about building a list
Look down the workshop titles and there is nothing about email sequences, autoresponders or lead magnets. That absence is deliberate and it tells you how the method is structured.
What is there instead
Sessions on comments, on messages, on post volume, on templates. Every one of them concerns a channel that lives inside a platform rather than in an inbox.
That is the shift the programme is built around: the follow-up happens in a message thread with someone who asked a question, not in a sequence sent to an address you collected.
Why the message thread replaced the sequence
Attention. A message from an account somebody chose to engage with gets read; a marketing email frequently does not. And the person entered the thread deliberately, which is a different starting position from being added to a list.
There is also a step-count argument. Every additional action between attention and conversation loses people, and a signup form is an extra step at the exact moment interest is highest.
The dependency this creates
You do not own the connection. If the account goes, the threads go with it - and an email list would have been portable.
That is a genuine exposure rather than a theoretical one, and the training does deal with list building. What it does not do is put it first, because a list with nobody on it is a container built before there is anything to store.
The point at which it changes
When conversations are happening regularly and you can see the questions that keep recurring. At that stage a list amplifies something working rather than housing something hypothetical.
What to listen for in the sessions
How the handover from automation to a person is described. That transition is where this approach either works or turns into a broadcast with extra steps, and it is the detail worth paying attention to when you are watching rather than reading.
